Account Attributes

Please send an email to your assigned accountant once you verify the following:

  • All encumbrances (with the exception of salary and wages, telecom, and admin copier) have been changed to the new department. If these are not changed, there will be an error when the invoice is routed for payment.
  • If you change Dept A to Dept B, the person currently listed as responsible person on Dept A should be on the signature card for Dept B.  The only exception is accounts that have a Principal Investigator (PI) as the responsible person.  PI’s are not on signature cards.

    Please send an email to your assigned accountant once you verify the following:

  • The new responsible person has completed Guidelines for Disbursement Training in the last 12 months – Course 2111496 in TrainTraq
  • The new responsible person is on the Signature Card for the department

    Once your accountant receives the request and ensures these requirements have been met, the account will be updated.
